Born to Drone Performances

We have performed at The Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, as part of their Family Concert Series, the San Francisco Kolo Festival, house concerts, senior centers, Stanford International Folk Dancers in Mountain View, the San Francisco Free Folk Festival, the San Francisco Poklada Festival, at local coffee houses for United Nations Day in Palo Alto, at the Exploratorium as part of the weekend celebration of their new exhibit on listening, and as part of Mountain View's Community School of Music and Arts In-School Residency program.

Upcoming Performances:

The band, POCHTI GOTOV, and the vocal group, BORN TO DRONE, will bring us a wonderful variety of dance music. The band members will form and re-form themselves into several different groups during the evening, playing music of Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, village and city, and a few surprises. The singers of Born to Drone will present their own set of vocal dance music and will join the band in a few numbers as well.

DETAILS: COST for live music night: $10.00

Doors open at 7:30. Music starts at 8:00

SNACKS: Bring some finger food to share--sweet, salty, or savory. (No kitchen facilities--no cleanup service.)

PARKING: Parking is FREE in the lot at night. It isn't necessary to purchase a ticket.

Directions from Santa Cruz: Take the Park Ave (Capitola) exit and turn left on Park. Go uphill to Soquel Drive, and turn right on Soquel. Stay in the right lane. The Cabrillo Gym complex is just past the second signal intersection (Cabrillo College Drive). Stay on Soquel Drive and turn right at the next parking lot, after you pass under the pedestrian bridge. The dance studio is at the northwest corner of the building, overlooking the intersection of Soquel & Cabrillo College Drive.
